Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Broker Support Officer to support our Australian mortgage broking client. 
In this role, you will be a key part of the mortgage process, responsible for proactively supporting our client’s Brokers, assessing borrower eligibility, and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete before submission to lenders for assessment. 
Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of Australian mortgage lending processes.

Responsibilities:
Application Review:
• Review mortgage applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify applicant details such as income, employment history, identification, and supporting documents.
• Assess eligibility by reviewing credit reports, property valuations, and serviceability.
• Ensure applications meet eligibility and compliance requirements before submitting to lenders.
Communication:
• Liaise with loan officers, applicants, and third-party vendors to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide clear and timely updates on application status and credit assessment to all relevant parties.
Documentation Management:
• Organize and manage all required documents for mortgage applications.
Customer Sales and Service:
• Utilise effective sales and service techniques to build trust and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Guide applicants through the application process and document requirements.
• Respond promptly to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactively support internal mortgage brokers and other team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Confident spoken and written communication skills.
• Advanced mortgage broker support skills
• Australian mortgage qualifications (Cert 4) highly regarded.
• Knowledge of Australian mortgage serviceability calculators.
• An understanding of credit assessment processes.
• Familiarity with Australian mortgage industry compliance and privacy requirements.
• Excellent time management skills.
